I have been a practitioner in the field of EFL for over 20 years. After teaching different age groups, levels, vocations in various countries, I have grown into an interest in the practical classroom application of current educational developments. I am an avid attendee of English teaching conferences, where I make the most of the opportunity to speak to colleagues on shared experiences. My research interests include TBLT, student motivation, assessment of communicative ability and intercultural exchange using technology. Current research projects touch on the application of CEFR at Japanese universities and Zoom-facilitated, collaborative, international media projects as (formative) assessment tools. I am looking forward to working with colleagues on exchange/media projects.
