I am a filmmaker who writes and directs narrative feature films and more recently documentary films.
Through my filmmaking I have become interested in how art-practice in general can help us reconnect to the natural world and contribute to solving environmental problems.
My current research focuses on a small village on Sado Island, and I am working with a team of international artists and academics to explore the knowledge and environment of the village through art.
I am also interested in "adaptation," both in the traditional sense of adapting literary works into films, but also in a more metaphorical sense.
