大学院以降、民事手続法、とくに倒産処理法を中心に研究を進めてきた。倒産手続法の分野では、双方未履行の双務契約、社債金融と倒産手続、国際倒産手続などをテーマとして論文を発表してきた。
また、他の分野としては、民事訴訟手続の実態調査、担保法の改正に関する研究などに参画した。
民事手続法、特に倒産処理法を中心に研究している。
教育は、法科大学院で民事訴訟法基礎、倒産処理法、学部で、民事訴訟法Ⅱなどを担当している。

Aug, 2007 - Jul, 2008オーストラリアでの在外研究の機会を利用して、メルボルン大学における法学教育の改革（学部レベルから大学院レベルへの完全な移行）について、調査・分析を行い、「オーストラリアにおける法学教育の新しい動き」（法の支配148号56-64頁（2008年））にまとめた。

Apr, 2007「倒産法入門」、「ロースクール倒産法(第2版)」等の教材を用いて、倒産法の基礎から、応用にわたる教材の開発、運用を行った。なお、2007年度～08年度の在外研究中にも、メール等を使って、希望学生への指導を行った。
