1995-2007年 上智大学文学研究科史学専攻博士課程において鈴木宣明先生のご指導のもと、中世イングランドの隠修女ノーリッジのジュリアンについて研究
現在 中世イングランドの宗教女性について研究中
中世イングランドの宗教女性についての研究と平行して、他者理解のための歴史学のあり方についても関心をもっている。誰がどのように歴史を記述してきたのか、史料は何を語るのか、あるいは語らないのか、なぜ歴史を学ぶ必要があるのか、なぜ国際教科書問題が起こるのか、講義のなかで学生から提示された問いに答えたいからである。
