The purpose of the study was to investigate relations between infant temperament and mother's parenting stress or postpartum depression. 128 mothers who have 4 to 7 months' infants answered 30 items of abridged infant temperament questionnaire, Parenting Stress Index, and Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale. Mothers who answered their infants had high score of "strength of reaction to new stimuli", "difficulty falling asleep", showed high score of postpartum depression. Mothers who answered their infants had high score of, "difficulty falling asleep", "ease of crying/ becoming fussy" showed high score of both parenting stress. In clinical situation, by focusing on those temperament items, may be possible to lead mothers for early support.
